Julia K. Palzer brings both legal acumen and a deep commitment to community service to her practice at Smith Pauley LLP. With a focus on estate planning, wills, trusts, and probate and estate administration. Julia provides clients with compassionate, detail-oriented counsel during some of life’s most important transitions.

Admitted to the Nebraska Bar in 2001, Julia began her career in legal education, serving as Dean of Admissions and Assistant Director of Career Services and External Relations at Creighton University School of Law. She also taught Legal Writing and Lawyering Skills, helping to shape the next generation of legal professionals. Today, she practices alongside her husband, Jeffrey T. Palzer, offering personalized legal services rooted in empathy and integrity.

Julia has a long-standing dedication to community leadership. She is a fellow of the Nebraska State Bar Association Leadership Academy and has served on numerous boards and committees, including the Executive Committee for the Women and the Law Section of the Nebraska Bar Association. Her past service includes board roles with Essential Pregnancy Services, the National Board of Catholic Engaged Encounter, the School Board of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School, and the Serra Club of West Omaha, where she also served as President.

An active member of her parish, Julia continues to support local initiatives through Connect Omaha and the Serra Club. Her ability to combine thoughtful legal strategy with a strong sense of service makes her a valued advisor to individuals and families alike.
